Dr. Zargar received her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo in 2002 and then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in 2006. Upon graduation, Dr. Zargar trained at a variety of medical centres in West Virginia and Indiana, as well as at the Vision Institute of Canada. She also completed a number of continuing education courses where she focused on expanding her knowledge in myopia control, dry eye disease, and pediatric optometry.
Dr. Zargar is a proud member of the College of Optometrist of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and has served as president on the board of the Vision Institute of Canada. She has also volunteered as an Assessor for Canadian Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Zargar is continuously working on advancing her education and investing in progressive technologies to offer her patients the very best care. With state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Zargar is pleased to offer full-scope optometric care for patients of all ages, including innovative treatment options such as myopia management, dry eye therapy, specialty contact lens fittings, and laser eye surgery co-management.
Through her well-rounded education and passion for the ever-changing field of optometry, Dr. Zargar has the expertise and knowledge to deliver high-quality, personalised eye care to every one of her patients. Dr. Zargar is fluent in Farsi, French and English. She is currently accepting new patients and is pleased to offer full scope optometric eye care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Su earned her degree in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston and later pursued a one-year advanced fellowship in cornea and specialty contact lenses at the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute Center for Keratoconus in Teaneck, NJ. She has extensive knowledge and training on fitting specialty contact lenses of all types, specifically for the management of keratoconus, post-refractive surgical complications, and ocular surface disease. She also has a special interest in myopia management with the use of orthokeratology and soft multifocal contact lenses.
Dr. Su was recognized with several honors, including the Oculus Anterior Segment Scholarship, the GPLI Gas Permeable Clinical Excellence Award, and the Case Report Challenge from the American Academy of Optometry, Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies. Furthermore, she was awarded the Beta Sigma Kappa Research Grant for her work on evaluating the choroidal and retinal thickness of children undergoing myopia control treatment.
Dr. Su has contributed to several publications such as Eye & Contact Lens, Contact Lens Spectrum, Review of Optometry, and Review of Cornea and Contact Lenses. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and working towards her fellowship towards the Scleral Lens Education Society. She is a member of the Ontario College of Optometrists and is licensed to practice Optometry in Ontario, New York, and New Jersey. She is excited to return home to Ontario to provide care to patients of all ages. In her spare time, Dr. Su enjoys pottery and exploring the vibrant food cultures of the various cities she visits.
